well i was following the guide for lens repair 2 and all was well till i had to reassemble the gears together. they all went on but...it wont spin it locks up and move around and such idk wats up or if i broke something please reply!!!!

My son knocked over my ps2

OK while playing a game my son came in and tripped on the chord and knocked down the console. Now when I try to start up some games it goes to the browse screen. When I try to select browse it tells me "disk read error" but i can hit "x" and the memory card loads and I can see all that is on it. Other games load fine and even save to the memory card...any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

disc read error remedy not working

I tried rotating the little white wheel every 4 clicks, then every 1 click, removed the wheel and cleaned it, yet every disc I put in still reads disc read error. While the disc is reading, there are clicking noises and sometimes grinding noises. Sometimes, the game just stops. The tv will say reading disc, yet the disc is not moving. I have tried cds, dvds, blues and silvers. I have searched every forum and they all recomend the white wheel method. None of the forums have described the...

Intermittent Power Down Problem - Not the fan

Playstation works for anywhere from 2 minutes to 2 hours, then screen goes blue and power LED goes from Green to Red. It's not the fan. I checked it and it runs fine the whole time the PS2 is on. Any thoughts as to what might be going on???

i have just started playing my FF7 again on my PS1 and everytime i try and climb up the same ladder to load the next scene the screen goes black like its loading the next scene but the music fades out and the disk stops spinning. the disk has a few very small scratches and works completely fine until that one part. what is wrong with it? maybe would it work if i tried playin it on a PS2?

heyi recently started playing FF7 again on my PS1 and the game has very few very small scratches and it works fine until i get up to one ladder i have to climb up for the next cut scene and the screen fades to black like its gonna load the next scene and the music fades out and the disk stops spinning i can still press all the L's R's and start&select to reset it but nothing else what the hell is wrong with it? would it work if i tried playing it on a PS2?

Whenever i try to play a newer game it says "reading disc" for about 2 seconds then goes away and nothin happens. dont really know how to fix anything but it wont let me play any new games. We actually tried the rubbing alcohol thing, and vacuuming the fan on the back, but no such luck. any suggestions?
